Hello, Welcome to Bespoke

Bicycle Fashion at the HUB NYC

Hudson Urban Bicycles presents the first ever NYC bicycle fashion show, “Bike Style”. Located in the West Village, the HUB aims to change the way New Yorkers view bicycling. “By presenting fashion-forward clothing designed with the bicyclist in mind, we are changing the way modern Americans view cycling,” said HUB owner George Bliss. “We want Bike Style to show people how a bicycling lifestyle can be convenient for everybody, especially trendsetting New Yorkers.”

Harkening back to the turn of the century when bicycling was in vogue and considered a status symbol, the show aims to promote bicycling for the fashion conscious: people who have somewhere to go but want to get there in style. “It’s not just function,” said Bliss. “It’s fashion.”

Fashions by international and local designers will be modeled, featuring a blend of both traditional fashion-design and tailored bicycle wear including designers like Lela Rose, Reiss, Sheila Moon, and Outlier. The show will juxtapose these looks with the latest bicycle designs. These bikes, primarily European in origin, have been designed for the well-dressed rider, with samples coming from companies like Batavus, Abici, Biomega, and Linus.

“Bike Style” follow on the heels of the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas last month where urban and commuter-friendly bikes were displayed rather than mountain and road bikes. The show signaled a trend in the industry, a renaissance of the glory days of bicycling. The HUB aims to lead the way in spreading this trend across the country. We hope you’ll join us.

The show will take place at the HUB, 71 Morton Street, from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday, October 24.
